Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Residential Project:Percy Main Flats, Wallsend Client: Lakeland Timber Frame Homes Scheme Value: £1,300,000 The Practice was approached by a local timber frame manufacturer to design a residential development in the Percy Main area of Wallsend.
Using a modern timber sandwich panel construction system, the challenge was to integrate themes of local development with a contemporary twist.
The building was sited to emphasise traditional terraced housing and continuity of Tyneside living. The project is due to complete early Spring 2008. Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Residential Project:Carmel Client: Private Client Scheme Value: £150,000 Extension and new build construction to form an extensive kitchen/living space, double fronted garage and open plan bedroom with en-suite. Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Residential Project:Horsley Client: Anvil Construction Ltd Scheme Value: £600,000 Set in the historic Northumbrian village of Horsley, we were approached to develop this Southern sloping aspect. Maintaining an existing stone built four bed roomed property, we provided a further twelve two bed roomed apartments.
The accommodation, was sited to maximise a traditional courtyard development, and mirror similar developments in the locality. A stone arched gateway, reinforced the concept of entrance to a private landscaped courtyard. Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Residential Project:Greenside Client: Not Yet Available Scheme Value: £600,000 A mixed residential development of converted Barns and new build houses in a traditional stone style set around a private road for self build development.
