Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Key Architects and PersonnelMike Dunwoodie RIBA Director Mike started his architectural career within noted architectural practices in the North East of England.
Designing many building types within Education, Leisure, Healthcare and commercial, his skills culminated in the design and management of the Kingston Park shopping and leisure complex in 1982.
In 1990 Mike became a senior partner and founding member of the practice and has developed the company over the past 15 years.
Establishing the company as a key practice within the North East, Mike as director has utilised his knowledge and skills to expand the practice across the country. Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Key Architects and PersonnelPeter Stobbart BA(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA Senior Associate Peter joined the Practice in 1991 and has become the practices senior architect and specialist within the education and Healthcare sectors.
Since Peter's appointment as Associate, he has completed many large scale schemes including a £6 million science and development building for Sunderland University, a £2.7 million Pathology Laboratory for South Tyneside NHS Trust and a £3 million ophthalmology scheme for Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust. Dunwoodie Architecture and Design Key Architects and PersonnelDerek Shepherd BA (Hons) B-Arch PG Dip Associate Derek joined the Practice in 2000 after completing his RIBA Part 1 at the University of Lincoln.
Derek became Associate in 2007 and his projects have included a £1.2 million Warehouse and Office Accommodation for Quicksilver and a £4.6 million renovation for North Tees and Hartlepool Hospitals.
Derek also forms part of the in-house 3D Visualisation Team and produces a number of artistic presentations for the Practice.
Away from the office, Derek enjoys playing cricket, and has been a long standing member of the Bedlington Cricket Club, he is also our golfing pro, securing victory for Dunwoodies at a number at golfing events.
